Colon Hydrotherapy/Colonics

Why Colon Hydrotherapy?

Your body is like a house you live in. A home needs repair once in a while. Every function in your body, physical, emotional, mental and spiritual is dependent on the attention that you give it. The elimination of undigested or fermented food and other waste products is as important as the proper digestion and assimilation of food.

The colon has been referred to as the sewer system of the body. It is the place where we store the waste material that most of us would rather not think about. Most of us are not concerned with our health until it becomes poor or we feel constipated or have diarrhea or other lower gastrointestinal difficulties.

Colon Hydrotherapy is an internal bath that helps cleanse the colon of toxins, parasites, gas, and accumulated fecal plaque. It is an invaluable procedure which addresses a wide variety of different colon conditions and is also an effective method to normalize the bowel and keep the colon safe from putrefaction. We nurture the colon back to a healthier state by cleaning away intestinal plaque, imbedded waste products, and resident toxins.

Often, diseased conditions caused by the presence of these toxins can be eased when we cleanse with colon hydrotherapy. It took time to pollute our bodies to the point of disease, so it will take time to reverse the process through a series of body cleansings. Some people choose colon hydrotherapy for prevention and detoxification and others come for help with more challenging digestive issues.

What happens during a colon hydrotherapy session?

A colon hydrotherapy session is a safe, effective method of removing waste from the large intestine without the use of drugs. A disposable, hygienic speculum is gently self-inserted into the rectum. Water flows into the colon via a small water tube and leaves the colon through an evacuation tube – no mess, no fuss, no odour. Your privacy is not compromised.

The colon is gently cleansed and exercised by repeated filling and emptying with filtered and temperature regulated water. The waste is then softened and loosened, resulting in evacuation through natural peristalsis. This process is repeated a few times during a session. A session lasts approximately one hour and various body work and lymphatic drainage techniques may be used.
