What are Acupuncture Meridians?
Acupuncture meridians are invisible energy pathways in your body that have been used therapeutically for over 5000 years. These meridians conduct energy or Qi in and around all the parts of your body. Blocked or imbalanced energy (QI) flow can affect surrounding structures and the organs related to those meridians. Based on the Five Elements in Chinese Medical Theory certain emotions are also associated with specific organs and therefore, the emotions may also be disturbed due to imbalance.
Although Ancient Chinese Medicine has in roots in over 5000 years of clinical practice experience, modern science has discovered that Qi is actually bioelectricity. You can actually measure it through the skin at acupuncture points that then give you an accurate assessment of the flow of energy in the associated meridians.
The AcuGraph diagnostic tool measures bioelectricity in your body. We can show you on a computer screen where there is too much or too little energy or where there are imbalances between one part of your body and another. When energy becomes stuck it causes symptoms such as pain and/or weakness.
Following assessment through the use of the AcuGraph Imaging, a treatment protocol unique to the specific patient using Acupuncture, Micro Point Stimulation Therapy (non-needle acupuncture) or Laser Acupuncture can restore energetic balance and proper energy flow to the meridians. This process allows your body to function optimally and return to health naturally.
The AcuGraph Digital Meridian Imaging system is a computerized tool used to analyze and document the energetic status of the acupuncture meridians versus relying on symptomology. This system clearly identifies energy imbalances and indicates functional changes in the body. The software displays these imbalances for you to visually see the energetic status of the meridians and the related organs and to allow for a more accurate selection of acupuncture points and meridians to treat these imbalances.
